Export project baseline with our schedule in Primavera P6

To export the project baseline with the schedule in Primavera P6 , simply go to the 'File' and select 'Export'. This action opens a new window from which you can export the schedule in various formats. To export both the schedule and the baseline, choose the 'Primavera P6 - (XML)' option and click 'Next'."

In the next step, click on the 'Baseline to Export' section to open this window. Now, in the 'Baseline to Export' window, you can select the baseline assigned to the project. To do this, simply activate the 'Export' checkbox located next to the baseline and click OK.

Now, click 'Next' in the Export window again to proceed to the next step. In this step, specify the file save location for the schedule and click on 'Finish'.

With these simple steps, you will have a file that includes the baseline assigned to the project. When importing this file into a new system, the baseline will also be imported along with it.

To import a schedule file that contains a baseline, proceed as follows:

Select the 'Import' option from the 'File' toolbar. The file to be imported is in XML format, so in the Import window, choose the 'Primavera P6 - (XML)' option and click 'Next'.

In the new window, select the file path for the file you want to import, and then click 'Next' again.

In this step, click on 'Baseline to Import' to open a new window.

In this window, activate the 'Import' checkbox next to the desired baseline and click 'OK'. Then, click 'Next' again to move to the next step. Continue by clicking 'Next' and finally 'Finish' to import the file into the software and complete the import process.

If you go to the 'Project' toolbar and select 'Maintain Baseline', you will see that the desired baseline exists in this window. However, it's important to note that this baseline has not yet been assigned to the project. Therefore, you should return to the 'Project' toolbar, select 'Assign Baseline', and assign the desired baseline to the project.
